About Fiona Doman
Hi, I am Fiona Doman, a registered counselling psychologist (M.Soc.Sc) from Pretoria with a passion for the general well-being of individuals but especially for the well-being of families and children.
While I have more than 11 years of training and experience in various settings of psychology (including primary, secondary and tertiary education, social services, private practice and the corporate environment – trauma debriefing, counselling and team building), I often find that one learns a lot through life experiences and roles – for me through being a wife, a mother to two beautiful little girls, professional person and a member of a family.
It was from afore mentioned training and experiences that my knowledge and interest in the wellbeing of the family and its members (at all different life stages and challenges) grew. This also led to “The Parenting Partner” being launched as an add-on focused area of service in my practice.
My ultimate goal through psycho-education, counselling and therapy is to assist, empower and enrich the lives of individuals in order to establish more happy and healthy people, families, children and homes.
I work primarily from an Eclectic Perspective, combining aspects from different schools of thought in order to meet my clients’ unique needs, always staying true to my purpose and calling of serving with truth and care.
Services offered in Afrikaans and English.
